Ex-President of Pakistan Perevez Musharraf was arrested the day after the release

In Pakistan, the re-arrest of the ex-president of the country of the Musharraf Perevz was re-arrested. He was first taken into custody in April of this year, and literally yesterday the Supreme Court of Pakistan freed him on bail from house arrest.

This time, the former leader of Pakistan was arrested in connection with the accusation of the death of 100 people as a result of the assault on the Red Mosque in 2007, the permission for which Musharraf himself gave, reports India Today . The operation was carried out after a week of confrontation between Islamists in the mosque and security forces.

In 2008, the politician was forced to leave the President’s post under the threat of impeachment and move to London. In Pakistan, he was threatened with accusations in connection with suspicions of involvement in the conspiracy against the opposition leader of the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who was killed in 2007. Five years later, the Pakistani court allowed Musharraf to bring a bail for himself, after which he announced his return .

In his homeland, the former president intended to take part in the parliamentary elections scheduled for May 2013. But this was prevented by the articles of the Constitution of Pakistan, according to which the candidate should be “a good Muslim, pure and honest” and have a deep understanding of Islam. The election commission considered that Musharraf did not correspond to such a description and disqualified him from the candidates.

In addition, when in April this year the Supreme Court in Islamabad confirmed that the politician is subject to detention on the basis of accusations of the murder of the leader of the nationalists of the Balujistan province Akbar Bugti in 2006, the murder of ex-Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in 2007, as well as the arrest of the judges of the Supreme Court. Musharraf, hearing the decision, got into the car and went to his residence, after which he was returned and put under arrest.

Following this, in August 2013, the ex-president was still charged with the murder of Bhutto.
