Hollywood actor Harrison Ford presented in Moscow a fantastic action movie "Ender's Game", in which he performed one of the main roles, RIA Novosti reports.
The film, shot according to the bestseller Orson Scott Carda, tells about the gifted teenager Endere Wiggin, who should resist the alien insect -like race and save humanity from extermination. Ford plays in the picture of the mentor of a young warrior - Colonel Graff. It is his hero who notes Ender and invites to become a student of a combat school, where he will have to undergo training to save the land.
According to Ford, he was very interested in the “relationship between the boy, who is waiting for many challenges and difficulties,” and his hero, so he agreed to the role in the tape. The main goal of his hero is to save life on earth, for the sake of achieving it, he is ready to sacrifice everything, even his student.
“The victory in the context of the film is the preservation of life on Earth, and not just conquering new territories or expanding the spheres of influence. We are talking about life on Earth, about the moment when the whole Earth is united in order to confront foreign invasion,” Ford said at a press conference on Wednesday.
According to Ford, he cannot judge his hero, since "this is not at all right and distracts from work." Also, the actor cannot call his hero good or bad. “To judge that a good or bad hero, I would not. People tend to judge themselves in accordance with this whether they behave well or badly. And this internal dialogue is expressed in our behavior, in scenes in the film,” the actor explained.
Talking about the film, he also noted that an alien threat is a metaphor “for any form of life on Earth that tries to protect its family in order to find a place for development and prosperity”, and for the future to be optimistic, it is necessary to protect nature.
"We must find harmony, must protect life on Earth and carefully refers to natural resources. Nature does not need people, people need nature. Let's not be arrogant, we must take care of it, because we are only part of nature, only one of the species," the actor said.
