Since September 26, relatives and lawyers have not been allowed to Tolokonnikova, she is prohibited from phone calls. In this situation, protection is afraid for her life.

Since September 23, Tolokonnikova kept a hunger strike, protesting against the torture conditions in the colony and threats from the administration. On September 27, she was hospitalized in LPU-21 in the village of Barashevo. The prison doctors banned a Tolokonniki date. Only State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, to whom she transferred an application for the temporary termination of the hunger strike on October 1, was able to visit the political prisoner. It was reported that Tolokonnikova is in serious condition, she is treated for a certain infectious disease.

Tolokonnikova’s defense stated a protest against her illegal isolation, applications were submitted to the bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service and the prosecutor's office. On Thursday, the EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs Cecilia Malstrem demanded that Tolokonnikova provide worthy conditions and allow meeting with his family and lawyers.

On Thursday, lawyer Dmitry Dinze said that Tolokonnikova was not allowed by the investigator of the Investigative Committee of Mikhail Marchkov, who conducts an audit on her application for threats by the deputy head of IK-14. The FSIN and the TFR denied this information - according to the official version, Marchkov did not go to the HPP -21, he sent a request there about the possibility of Tolokonnikova’s participation in investigative measures.

Meanwhile, according to Dinze, the TFR decided to appoint a forensic medical study of Tolokonnikova’s health. “Thus, for the unfriendly attack, the FSIN, the Investigative Committee decided to go strictly official way, namely to appoint a forensic research,” explained Dinze. “If it offers that all these days Tolokonnikova’s defense was illegally not allowed for medical reasons and limited lawyers to provide legal assistance, including the verification of the criminal application, the issue of bringing it to the attraction to the crime. On October 2, Tolokonnikova said that she could resume a hunger strike , which she interrupted due to "a very serious condition and complications that began." It will continue the hunger strike if three of its main requirements are not fulfilled: to investigate the conditions for the detention of women in the Mordovian IK-14, to ensure the safety of convicts who testified about the situation in the colony, and transfer Tolokonnikov to another correctional institution.
