“Of course, we are determined to hold very open, big, we can say the best Olympic Games,” the head of the department confirmed. “We want the Olympic Games in Sochi to have a great legacy.”

Answering the question about the possible boycotts of the Olympiad, Mutko said that "we know nothing about this, except for the statement of one country, and so far the IOC has no such information." “Applications are coming,” he said. “All countries tend to come to Sochi.”

“This will be one of the best Olympiads,” he repeated, clarifying that we are talking about the organization and management models: “Two Olympic villages, one Olympic Park, this has never been anywhere.” “We will now only strengthen training in the games,” he assured.

"Indeed, in winter sports, Russia has accumulated many systemic problems. The game program includes dozens of new disciplines, freestyles, snowboards," Mutko recalled.

“98 sets of awards will be played in Sochi. Of course, we were 11 in Vancouver, there were no miracles. What we did - we accepted a special program immediately, we analyzed everything that was in Russian sports, two years drove these years for fees, attracted 80 world -class specialists to national teams,” he listed.
