Skater Alexander Smirnov was operated on in Germany

Russian skater Alexander Smirnov, who was injured by the right knee during the Panin Memorial , was operated on on Saturday at the Munich clinic.

“Sasha was delivered to Munich by the FMBA special male. The athlete was operated on on Saturday. The volume of work was slightly larger than planned before. On Monday or Wednesday, depending on the situation, Sasha will be transferred to a rehabilitation clinic,” the Tamara athlete’s team of figure skating federations on the skates of Russia as a rehabilitation.

On the eve of the departure to Germany, Alexander Smirnov turned 29 years old. The European champion, paired with Yuko Kavaguti, met his birthday, met the Clinic of St. Petersburg on the hospital bed, where Alexander was delivered from the ice rink.
