The first so -called "people's gathering" took place on the evening of October 12, several dozen people brought flowers to the place of the death of Shcherbakov. They later came to the local police department, representatives of the Internal Affairs Directorate with the audience held a conversation. On October 13, people began to gather from 15.30. There was smoke in the building, there were also reports of looting. The detentions began, in response to the riot police, bottles and garbage tanks began to throw. After 18.00, it became known that the aggressively tuned crowd moved to the local vegetable depot-for some reason it was obvious to the member of the gathering that the killer was a migrant and that he was most likely hiding there. According to RIA Novosti, people managed to break through the gates of the vegetable base and partially rush it. OMON arrived there and began to push people away.
According to some reports, about 3,000 people took part in the riots. The defeats of trade compensation and the vegetable base did not limit themselves. The police detained 380 people, of which 70 were charged with administrative offenses. As a result of the riots, 6 police officers were injured.
