Mikhail Baryshnikov defended Russian gays

The dancer and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov published an appeal in which he stated that "discrimination and persecution of representatives of the gay community are unacceptable."

According to RFI , the appeal of Baryshnikov appeared on Sunday, October 13 on the website of the non -profit organization No More Fear Foundation :

“My life was immensely enriched with teachers, colleagues and friends, and discrimination and pursuit of gays are unacceptable. An equal attitude towards people is a fundamental law, and it is very sad that we still have to talk about it in the 21st century. I welcome No More Fear Foundation for the fact that they have so quickly connected to the provision of the necessary assistance to gays that they are currently pursued, and for the organization helping them lead a decent lifestyle in their new country. ”
