According to the press service of the council, around noon the site still worked as usual. Then, a photograph with the head of a pig appeared on the main page, which is considered a dirty animal in Islam, and an obscene inscription. What happened in the press service was called a provocation.
As Interfax notes, the personal Internet page of the head of the Council of Muftiev Ravil Gainutdin and the website of the Cathedral Mosque of Moscow were also undergoing hacking.
