Banksy mocks the art market

The British street artist Banksi ridiculed the consumption culture, the star status of artists and the pricing policy in art, having arranged for the sale of his works at a ridiculously low prices.

According to EURONEWS , a video appeared on the BANKSY.co.UK website showing how Banksy's prints are sold in the central park from the tray. By the end of the day, only eight pieces took a total of $ 420.

A day later, Banksy said that these were copyright work, and customers got unique works worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Within the framework of his monthly residence in New York, Banksy promised to give the city one work of street art per day. His next fresco was decorated with a building in Queens.
