
The Interpol File Control Commission decided to unlock information on the search for Russian anti -fascist Peter Silaev.
This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation .
The defender of the Khimkinsky forest, Petr Silaev ( Petya Kosovo ) is accused of organizing an attack on the building of the Khimki administration on July 28, 2010 (hooliganism committed by an organized group - part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In August 2012, Silaev was detained in Spain, but his issuance was refused, since he had a refugee status granted to him by the authorities of Finland.
“In the future, the accused appealed to the Interpol file control commission with a request to delete him from the organization’s database. Since in his appeal the accused referred to the political nature of the motives of his wanted list, the commission decided to temporarily block the information against Silaev until the completion of the proceedings. At the same time, Russian law enforcement agencies requested additional materials regarding the wanted person, allowing to study the causes of criminal prosecution in more detail, ”the press service of the NCB Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
“After the analysis, the commission decided to unlock information on the search for the accused due to the lack of political background in the case. The search for Silaev in interpol member countries is renewed, ”the report said.
