- New publications, if I understand correctly, replace the Daily section on the site Afisha.ru ?
- The Daily section has not turned into a full -fledged edition. I suspect that most of those who regularly go to the Afisha website do not even know about its existence. For them, these are some incomprehensible applications to the resource, where they actually go to see the schedule of exhibitions or find out which new cafes in the city opened. We decided that we must somehow divide it, reaping and clearly name. As a result, Afisha-Gorod appeared, led by Ekaterina Dementieva, the music magazine "Poster-Well" with Alexander Gorbachev, who remains the editor-in-chief of the paper "Poster", and the publication about the culture of the "Afisha-Age"-they are commanded by Yuri Saprykin, and Alexey Munipov will soon join it.
-With whom, in your opinion, new publications will have to compete?
- Each has its own competitive environment. At Afisha-Gorod, it is very rich, in Moscow you can count a dozen interesting city publications and blogs. There are much fewer cultural sites, in some ways the “air” with the “colta” will intersect, and in some ways with LAM . The “wave” is easiest - there are practically no music magazines. There are narrow-minded ones, for lovers of any specific areas, but there is no popular publication about different relevant music, and we just want to do this.
- Why are these directions - music, a city, culture - you decided to highlight?
- We have the conditions for launching such publications. We are interested in these things. And it seems to us that they will be interesting not only to us.
“Poster Gorod” is some return to the initial plan of “posters”. This is a magazine about the city. There is Moscow, and we continue to observe how it changes and where it moves. And at the same time help people use this city-they still need landmarks and practical information.
We have developed a platform that allows you to fantastically cheaply launch a new edition per month.
And there is a culture - which is not limited to the boundaries of the city. Moscow is not a cultural center of the world, moreover, the cultural center of Russia is also not. If ten years ago it might seem that everything is the main thing here, now there is no such feeling. In general, we need a conversation about cultural events that goes beyond the city publication.
“Poster-Wave” is generally a separate story. In fact, it has existed for us for a long time - in the form of a division on Daily . She has long been completely full -fledged and capable of independent life.
- How do you imagine their audience? This is not a single “reader of“ Afisha ””?
- I do not really like talking about the clear parameters of the audience. In my subjective opinion, the readers will be older than that of the city, and the magazine about music is younger. In some ways, the audiences of three publications, of course, intersect, but basically they, according to my sensations, are so different that it was impossible to keep them on one site.
- The idea of breeding them in different sites - yours?
- We all attached a hand to this - but, let’s say, this is the main reason why I quit the post of chief editor of the Afisha. We have developed a platform that allows you to fantastically cheaply launch a new edition per month.
-That is, the "poster" will develop exclusively in the Internet environment?
“This is not a question for me, but I can hardly imagine some other paper launches in the“ Poster ”. And I don't really understand why they are needed. On the Web, we will launch the Afishi library in a month, which will include all big magazine materials-the history of Russian pop music, the history of Russian media, texts about emigration, conversations about Russia, and so on in the same spirit: huge journalistic stories that come out every two weeks.
- And access to them will be paid?
- Yes.
-And what new Internet publications are planned at the Afisha?
“I know for sure what three new publications would like to do.” But I will not say yet.
The editor-in-chief of the site "Poster-Avo"
Oddly enough, I lack the magazine "Poster". The magazine who talked about the phenomena, in general, obvious and generally significant, but tried to look at them from an unexpected angle. Now, after a long evolution, the paper journal has turned into almost almanacs, which each time is completely dedicated to some separate topic. Information about more momentary things interested in me has to be derived from different, far from only Russian -speaking sources. From the “Colts”, “Kh- Weekond ”, the Department of Culture The Guardian or, say, The New Yorker , which is not quite a magazine about culture, but for me the accents are also important for me. There is another moment. The horizons of the “posters” of the 2000 model are now for me, and, I suspect, it would have been narrow for you. Things that are now interested in are completely not limited to what is happening in the city - and in general in the material, physical space. We live not only in Moscow or some other settlement-we live no less in the cities where we periodically travel, on the network where we do not get out, on Facebook, where we sometimes spend more time than with our children (it was a small camming out). If once we reflected in the Afisha on the topic “What are we lacking in Moscow”, why are there few good exhibitions, concert halls are not the same as it should, even the Bolshoi Theater is not enough and when everything will finally be completely repaired and settled, now everything is in a sense, but at the same time it turned out not so important. If something is happening with a large theater, then, of course, it is terribly sorry, but you can go see the broadcast from Metropolitan Opera or get to Perm and see what the cientsis is doing there. Even if you don’t leave Moscow - and if you leave, then even more so, these supporting points of the cultural life of Perm, Berlin or London are now entering the circle of your interests in the same way as what is happening on the next street. The horizons have expanded incredibly, access to new books, exhibitions or performances has become much easier for purely technical reasons. You can read the new pin on the original on the day of its exit to the United States, and if your language is not enough for this, for some reason it became important for you to know what, sitting in its light, I just composed the pinchon. I’m sitting almost in Moscow almost, very rarely going somewhere-at the same time, the Morrissi autobiography, the main musical and literary sensation of the year, a book, which everyone demanded from him, is falling into my phone. I get it on the same day when she goes to Britain. At the same time, people who are not fluent in English or have not yet acquired Kindle, all this is exactly the same, and right now, and not when someone is able to translate it and publish it, it is not known whether it will happen at all. We still, as before, write about what is interesting to us. This, in fact, is all the same “all the entertainment of Moscow”, just not limited by the repertoire of Moscow cinemas or the schedule of Moscow tour. I’m absolutely not sure that we will succeed, maybe we will make some kind of provincial crap, this is somewhat like an adventure. Although, in fact, in what I say, there is no stunning sacred revolutionary mission that we should fulfill here now. “Poster-to-air” is rather a way to regroup, otherwise to present what has already been done on the same site of the “posters”. It’s just that on the site it looked like its applied functions, to schedules, to the Afisha service - all these journalistic materials screwed on the side. We wanted to change their position, pull out from under the service, straighten it, make more intelligible and noticeable. At the same time, we do not pretend to give the reader an exhaustive report on everything that happens in the world of culture on a planetary scale, we rather arrange subjective accents - this is our view, this is the view of our authors. We do not claim to be all -leature - we take the plots that are interesting to us and our audience. What is this audience? These are relatively young people who expose for several hours in line in Pushkinsky, for them an arrival in the city of Titian or Pre-Raphaelites-an event around which their life plans are built, they go abroad not only to lie down on the beach and buy clothes, it is important for them to acquire some new experience in a cultural order. I recently, being in Paris, hid from the rain in the d'Ors museum, spent two hours perfectly there - and was amazed that almost half of the people around were talking in Russian. I looked at them and thought-here they are, that’s for whom we are making an “poster-a-air” one.
The editor-in-chief of the site "Poster Gorod"
“Poster Gorod” is a site about Moscow, about what it lives and how it changes. According to the old aphine tradition, the name in the forehead reports what our publication is about. In fact, the “city” is an organic continuation of the Paper Magazine “Poster”, which appointed his heroes and anti -heroes, was engaged in urban futurology and described places where a decent person should go right now. But for some time the magazine has gone beyond the scope of the city review, and now each number is a special project, the most complete story within the framework of a given topic, from the Moscow theater to the Russian Internet. We have long wanted to make an Afisha on the Internet every day. Actually, we tried to solve this task in order of experiment in the Daily section on Afisha.ru . With the same circle of authors, with the same values - but a daily magazine. It turned out that the traditional magazine defocus - both about Luzhkov’s architecture, and about the new novel Senchin - does not work on the Internet. That's why we make a “city” - without a novel. The traditional “poster” talked about the people, places and events in Moscow, and the “city” is somewhat go beyond the boundaries of this pleasant world - and generally beyond the framework of a purely consumer and leisure publication. Since the very “Afishi-QAK-SKAST-TAI-I-BUT”, both we and our readers have changed, have become a little older and began to be interested not only in all the entertainment of Moscow. And the situation has changed. A lot of city publications arose - not only the Big City magazine, The Village or the Moscow News newspaper, but also a number of city blogs that also do very interesting things. In general, the competition intensified - but Moscow, thank God, is not the city of one park, a cinema or politician. In a word, in the “City” it will still be possible to find out where in Moscow the best burgers, but also what happened in this city, and what it means and who is to blame and what to do.
The editor-in-chief of the site "Poster-Well"
“Poster-Wave” is, in fact, the successor of the musical section of the “Afisha” site, as it has been for the past five years. Of course, I would like this publication to become the main media resource about music in Russian (in fact, in my immodest opinion, the musical section of the Afisha was already such in many respects). That is, literally: if a person wants to read and understand something about music-he goes to us. Moreover, about any music - new and old, Russian and non -Russian. The ideological moment for me consists precisely in this versatility: it is important for us that the “wave” is about Benjamin Britten, and about Leonid Fedorov, and about the singer Lorde , and the pro conditionally speaking, Stas Mikhailov. It is clear that they are all interesting from different points of view: Mikhailov, for example,-rather from socio-anthropological; But one way or another, it's all about music (because music is not only about sound, but also about sociology, anthropology, psychology and anything else). Jazz, ethnic, classic; New names, archival authorities - there is no question of temporary or geographical boundaries. Anyway, it seems to me that the cultural field has long been common, and this applies to music to a special extent. I perfectly imagine people (and I know a lot of such) who, having gone to the concert of Steve Reich in Gorky Park, on the way home are included in the player of the new Kanye West - and then, at home, in the core of the Katezh, they sing in chorus with friends: “But I did not know that love could be cruel.” Here we write for them - but not only, of course: I have, for example, a beloved (sincerely, not sarcasm) commentator on our site, clearly an adult from the city of Ozersk, Chelyabinsk Region, working in Stroyatomash, he is very carefully monitoring all publications. As for competitors - here I will probably speak too ambitiously, but it seems to me that we do not have them. Well, now there is no modern and adequate in every sense-from design to language and heroes-a Russian-speaking Internet publication about music. And now it will be.
