
To attract Western investors to high -tech Russian companies, Rusnano plans to use not only the capabilities of the Moscow Exchange, but also look for exits to Nasdaq, Kommersant writes. The first step in this direction has already been taken: the Russian and American sites have concluded an agreement on cooperation.
The company "Rusnano" can sell the shares of several companies in which it invested earlier, on the Moscow Exchange, and in the future on the American NASDAQ, Sources close to the Moscow Exchange and State Polish told on Tuesday. According to the newspaper, the chairman of the Rusnano board Anatoly Chubais even met on this occasion with the executive director of the NASDAQ OMX Group Inc. Bob Grafield.
So far, the result of all meetings was the agreement signed on October 21 between the Moscow Exchange and the Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. The sites held a joint seminar for Rusnano's portfolio companies, said Gennady Margolit, director of the Moscow Exchange market and investment, and added: "We expect several of them to enter the public market during the year."
Nasdaq is ready to help with the implementation of these plans. “We have experience in cooperation with companies such as STS Media, Yandex and QIWI, we are ready to take part in the development of other Russian innovative companies,” said the executive vice president and head of the NASDAQ OMX Group Inc. Recall, Rusnano was founded in 2007. It acts as a financial co -investor in projects in the field of nanotechnology. By 2015, the volume of production of project companies in which Rusnano invests should amount to at least 300 billion rubles a year, and the total production of the entire Russian nano industry is 900 billion rubles, the company's website said.
To circulate the papers of high -tech companies of small and average capitalization on the Moscow Exchange, Rusnano, a sector "Innovation and Investment Market" (RII) was created. According to the information posted on the exchange website, securities of 29 issuers and seats of nine servo investment funds are circulated in this sector, Kommersant notes.
