"Everything is in shock": on suspicion of theft, the head of the Directorate of Ros border and four more officials were detained

On Tuesday, employees of the FSB detained the head of the capital construction and operation department of the Federal Agency for the Arrangement of the State Border of the Russian Federation (Rosgranitsa) Danil Vavilov, as well as four more officials, including from the subsidiary of Rosgranstroy. All detainees are suspected of embezzlement of budget funds in the implementation of the federal target program "Development of the state border of the Russian Federation for 2003-2011", the Kommersant newspaper reports.

On Monday, October 21, it became known about the dismissal of the head of the Russian Border Dmitry Nirodelov "of his own free will", as well as that the resignation was preceded by an audit check of the department. In the course of it, it turned out that about a billion budget rubles were on the accounts of the Agroosoyuz bank, whose largest beneficiary is the Father of the Bezwoodlov.

The AgroSosyuz moved from Omsk to Moscow and even recently opened a new branch in the region. Judging by the reporting, the capital of the bank is just a billion rubles, and it belongs to former special services employees, the Rain TV channel notes.

Vavilov was detained "without unnecessary noise"

The reason for the detention of Danila Vavilov was the results of the work of the government commission. According to Kommersant, the detention of a senior official passed "without unnecessary noise" in the building of the department. Vavilov’s acquaintances confirmed the fact of his capture, noting: "Nobody reported details. Everything is in shock."

Vavilov and his alleged accomplices are suspected of embezzlement of budget funds when selling a previous FCP, the volume of which amounted to about 150 billion rubles.

The test of the Ros border began a year ago, after the college, on which Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin baked Dmitry Nirodelov. The reason for the claims of the curator of the defense sector was that out of the seven border points for the APEC summit, the Federal Agency for the Rosgrana built only one, the rain TV channel reports. It also turned out that the department spent 35 million rubles on the maintenance of 35 Khabarovsk checkpoints, and 178 million on 14 Dagestan.

On the eve of the press secretary of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev Natalya Timakova officially confirmed to Kommersant information that the decision to resign Dmitry Nirodelov was made according to the results of the inspection and materials of law enforcement agencies.

Initially, it was reported that the head of the department decided to leave his post after a personal conversation on Monday morning with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin.

As the rain notes, while the place of the Nizhodelov was taken by his deputy Yuri Maltsev, the former deputy director of the FSKN Viktor Ivanov. However, it is possible that he will be replaced with a more experienced financier.
