Prokhorov asks to fix the "bias": let go of the mayor of Urlashov on bail following the example of the ex-head of the Yaroslavl Oblazbirkom

Mikhail Prokhorov appealed in a letter to the chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation with a request to re -examine the request for a change in the preventive measure temporarily removed from his position to the mayor of Yaroslavl Yevgeny Urlashov. The reason for this appeal was the case of the ex-head of the Yaroslavl Oblast of the Oblast of Denis Vasiliev.

In his letter, Prokhorov drew special attention to the fact that Vasiliev was accused under the same article as Urlashov (Article 190 of Part 6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - “receiving a bribe”). At the same time, “Vasiliev was caught on receiving a bribe from hand to hand, that is, with the red -handed, while against the mayor of Yaroslav, such evidence was never presented,” the text of the letter quoted RBC as saying. However, on October 21, the ex-head of the Oblazbarkom was released on bail of 3 million rubles, the politician notes. Prokhorov suggested that "such distortions from the district court were caused not by the severity of the crime," but exclusively by political reasons: Urlashov was in opposition to the current governor and did not hide his desire to take part in the upcoming elections of the governor of the Yaroslavl region.

Prokhorov expressed the conviction that "in a state where there are no double standards, and the rule of law and independence of the court are not called into question either by citizens or power, such a similarity of situations can and should cause serious issues among higher instances." At the end of the letter, the leader of the “Civil Platform” says that he was ready to make a bail based on the proportions that, in his opinion, was guided by the Kirov court of Yaroslavl, who issued the ex-head of the regional election commissar, informs ITAR-TASS.

Meanwhile, supporters of the arrested Urlashov are preparing to declare themselves at the opposition procession agreed with the capital's mayor, which should take place on October 27 in the center of Moscow, NTV reports. Especially for him, like -minded mayor prepare posters with the inscription "Freedom Urlashov" and the badges that will be distributed to everyone. In addition, a large white ball with a portrait of the leader of Yaroslavl will rise over the walking column. Also in the march will be attended by the associates of Urlashov in the party, the Civil Platform party reports to the television channel. According to the head of the Department of Regional Security of the Moscow City Hall Alexei Mayorov, up to 20 thousand people will take part in the action. Evgenia Urlashov, his deputy Dmitry Donskov, head of the municipal order agency Maxim Poikalanen and mayor adviser Alexei Lopatin is accused of extorting bribes from the Yaroslavl businessman. According to the investigation, the mayor and his team in the period from December 2012 to July 2, 2013 extorted 14 million rubles from the amount of the commercial company Sergei Shmelev from the amount transferred to the company to the work performed. At the same time, officials repeatedly expressed threats to non -payment of money for the performance of work under the next contract.

A few days ago, the Yaroslavl media became accessible to prints of conversations between Urlashov’s wards, the newspaper "Home City" writes. As the publication notes, Urlashov “does not admit anywhere, it does not say, which requires“ rollbacks ”for concluded contracts with communal companies,” and “his persistent requirement for Shmelev“ close what ”can still be interpreted as you like.” However, subordinates of the mayors do not demonstrate the same remoteness from the problem as the boss: they openly discuss the bribe and details of corruption schemes.

It is also clear from the information received that confidence in the victory of Yevgeny Urlashov in the upcoming governor’s elections was high, and among the part of the Urlashov team, movement was formed to determine the next mayor of the city and the new management structure around it.

It is also obvious that Urlashov was categorically not satisfied with the quality of the work of the company "Radostroy" and did not see it among future general contractors. Shmeleva, on the other hand, arranged only receiving a general contract, for which he was ready to go to anything - even attract power structures to eliminate competitors. Prints confirm his intention to pay 14 million rubles in a bribe, just to get a full municipal contract. He explained this by the fact that otherwise he was facing bankruptcy.

Urlashov was also charged withreceiving a bribe from another local entrepreneur. The mayor and his subordinates were detained in July. Urlashov himself repeatedly claimed that he was pursued for political reasons.
