On October 22, in the Nikulinsky Court of Moscow, after a two-week break, the trial in the Bolotnaya case resumed.

The pause was caused by a mechanical injury to the left eye of the defendant Andrey Barabanov. However, the participants in the trial did not waste time during the break. So, Sergey Mokhnatkin, the defender of Sergey Krivov, accused under Art. 212 part 2 (participation in mass riots), wrote on the letterhead of the organization "For Human Rights" a denunciation to the Investigative Committee with a demand to initiate a criminal case against the residents of Biryulyovo under the same article. Krivov did not formulate his opinion on this matter, but the other participants in the process asked Mr. Mokhnatkin not to do this again - this is the mildest wording they used.

After Andrei Barabanov's recovery, the court managed to hear three more witnesses for the prosecution and refused to release Yaroslav Belousov under house arrest so that he could care for his son, who fell ill for several months and is now unable to go to kindergarten.

The most interesting witness was a citizen journalist, blogger and fighter for everything good Ilya Penezev. Ilya does not like opposition leaders so much that he cannot eat, but for some reason he came to testify against Sasha Dukhanina, whom he considers "abandoned" by these same leaders. I cannot say that Penezev and I do not have similar values. He also wants there to be no corruption, for the government to be responsible, and so on. Why at the same time he helps the state to keep people behind bars and under house arrest for 17 months now remains a mystery. At the same time, some defenders tried to get from him whether he was an agent of the special services. What this means for the court is also a mystery. As if for a Russian court to be an agent of the Russian special services is bad.

Two other witnesses are from the 2nd operational regiment. Commander and subordinate, Yegorov and Pilipchatin. Egorov is a variant of Aniskin. An honest man in his forties. Pilipchatin is a young subordinate of Yegorov, a sort of Petrosyan: he tried to joke when the topic, in general, was not very funny. When lawyer Agranovsky asked the court to acquaint Pilipchatin with his own testimony to the UK, the court refused with the wording that these testimony were not read out in the present trial. The court also refused to re-apply for the disclosure of the testimony of the witness. How, then, can the materials of the criminal case itself be introduced into the trial, if the court refuses to disclose them, remains a mystery. A full week of mysteries.
