Apple will unlock LTE in Russia

Good news: according to ITAR-TASS, Apple will soon open access to 4G networks for the iPhone 5s and 5C. The last smartphones of the company theoretically support domestic frequencies, but so far it is impossible to use a quick mobile Internet in Russia. Apple artificially limits access at the program level and tests each individual operator to avoid negative experience from using LTE networks.

Support for 4G networks should begin in November, and the first of the Russian operators who have reached an agreement may be Beeline. In any case, the company will issue a LTE support permit only after the introduction of CSFB technology (Circuit Switched Fallback). CSFB involves switching to a network with switching channels for voice call and vice versa - in other words, the subscriber will not miss the voice call when the fourth -generation is in networks, which is a prerequisite for Apple. It is known that at the moment, such a technology has been introduced only in the Moscow Megaphone network.
