On October 30, at 11:00 a.m., the Moscow City Court will hold a hearing on the complaint filed by family lawyer Sergei Magnitsky against the actions of Judge Igor Alisov.
Alisov, who then worked in the Tverskoy District Court, refused to consider a complaint against Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Grin about blocking the criminal investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the case of the death of Magnitsky.
“The conclusion of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, sent to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation as part of the investigation of the criminal case on the death of Magnitsky S.L., certainly violates the rights and interests of the injured mother of Magnitsky, and ... is in deep contradiction with the conclusions of the members of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation”, - the lawyer's complaint says.
The conclusion of the prosecutor Viktor Grin, issued at the request of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, in which he did not find violations in the actions of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who persecuted Sergei Magnitsky, became known in May 2011 from an official message on the website of the Investigative Committee. For the next two years, officials concealed from Magnitsky's relatives the text of Prosecutor Grin's own conclusion.
The defense of the Magnitsky family claims that by dismissing the complaint against Grin's actions, Alisov committed an official forgery.
