The art of insulting believers

From one hundred to four hundred thousand - approximately the number of views of each video of the famous YouTube video blogger Ruslan Usachev. Usachev began his career on the Web with toxic reviews of Russian films. Then he began to comment on the news: he was mocking the initiatives of Mizulina, then over the clock of the patriarch, then over the dismissal of Onishchenko. Now Ruslan decided to make a documentary under the unambiguous title "Insulting the feelings of believers." And he announced the collection of folk money for a possible fine. Which, in fact, happened. Users supported the idea of ​​a ruble. And not one.

- What will be the project “Insulting the feelings of believers”?

-Such an entertaining and cognitive documentary in which I will cover the position of religion in Russia, my opinion on this. This will be an attempt to expand, qualitatively explain to people an atheistic point of view, which I adhere to both I and many people who sacrificed the money for my project.

- Will it be one long movie or a series of videos?

- While I plan to make four videos for four different subtans.

- And will everything be served in the usual format of jokes and Grams?

- If we assume that I usually have a lot of granny, then this time it will be a little smaller. Still, I want the sense to not disappear for humor. But humor, of course, will be - otherwise I myself will be bored. Humor is the best tool in order to convey information to a person, to break through his protective mechanisms.

The project has two offers. Materialistic. And I want to rationally look at the relations of religion and the state in Russia. The fact that we have laws that distinguish believers in some separate caste, on the fact that we open the theology department at the technical universities ... This causes indignation in me (and not only in me). My project is a statement of position. And I will try to explain everything as intelligibly as possible-perhaps one of the viewers will even change their opinion.

The phrase “There is no God” - is it an insult at once or what?

-Interesting, and when you started your career, you shot a “harmful movie” or discussed the news in “Usachev Today” , did you put some kind of educational meaning into this?

- In the format that is usually present on my channel, the videos are shorter. A couple of times I tried to talk about something deeper, but in five minutes you can’t explain this properly. Documentary - more extended, makes it possible to speak out. In addition, I still have an entertaining channel. Even if there is a topic that causes anger, I hold my ardor: I'm joked. The new project is separate - I immediately warn that it will be something more serious. The campaign to raise money for b oomstarter.ru was also in order to get confirmation: this is really important for people.

- How much money has been collected now?

- To date, 331,000 rubles have been raised (Usachev collected 300,000. - Ed. ). I collected them to pay a possible fine-if my video seems offensive to some abstract believers. The law on insulting the feelings of believers is very strangely formulated: it is unclear that there is a sense of believers in general, whom to consider believers, at what point you insult them ... For example, the phrase “God is not” - is it immediately an insult or how?

- And if they really initiate the case against you, but they will not be sentenced to a fine, but to the deadline?

- The prison term for this article is relying for the desecration of different places. And in my view, desecration is hooliganism or vandalism. For these actions, there are already normal, sane articles of the Criminal Code. Suppose to burn some cross-and without the law on the feelings of believers it is clear that this is wrong. I am a rather well -mannered person to not do this. And in the temples, like Pussy Riot , I'm not going to dance. There people pray, why will I interfere with them: let them talk with their magical creatures. All I want to do is express my point of view. Unfortunately, this possibility is infringed with such laws.

These people make a career themselves on the fact that they have a permanent Butthert.

- Orthodox activists like Dmitry Enteo have not yet come out?

- No. It seems to me that I have not yet created a sufficiently media event, so that Enteo and other activists, who are striving to show themselves everywhere, pay attention to me. I think that if the project causes noise, then all fans of free attention of the media will be pulled instantly.

“But you realize that your project will cause them, as they say on the network, Big Butthert ?”

“These people make a career for themselves that they have a permanent Butthert - from books about Harry Potter and ending with Olympic fire.” Soon they will have a butthert about each of my movement. Therefore, I try not to pay attention.

- Do you follow the responses? Is your audience able to respond to serious?

- Of course, capable. These hundreds of thousands were selected for several years, these are not random people. And when I joke, they understand that every joke has some kind of message.

- Ruslan, in the releases of “USACHEV Today” you laugh at many new laws: Roskomnadzor with its list of prohibited sites, over the anti -pirate law. It turns out that religion still bothers you more?

- I am not against religion, just an ardor should be modified. It seems to me that such an increase in the influence of religion in the country will cause much more harm than any sites of sites. The law can be canceled the next day, unlock all sites, and everything will be as before. And brainwashing has much more serious consequences for the country.

- When to wait for the release of the first video?

-I think either at the end of this year, or in January 2014.

- Do you want to talk about Orthodoxy?

- We live in Russia. Since the prince arranged a casting and chose Orthodoxy, this religion was lucky to become the main one in Russia. What is the percentage of the Orthodox in our country compared to adherents of other religions, so much time in the film will be allocated by this faith. I will talk about Islam and Buddhism, and even about pastafarianism -but these laws are published precisely in order to protect the Orthodox. Pastafarianism seems to be recognized in Russia by a real religion, but for some reason the law on the protection of the feelings of believers does not want to protect them.

- Yes, the Pastafarians are even delayed on their processions.

- Exactly. Since their pasta is poured somewhere-this, too, turns out, should be persecuted by law, if we live in a legal state.
