
Residents of the four regions of the North-West Administrative District of Moscow turned to the mayor Sergei Sobyanin with a request to prevent the construction of transport highways through the Moskvoretsky Park.
The document is published on the website Change.org . It states that in the spring of 2013 the initial project for the development of the territory of the Tushino field was changed, according to which the Spartak stadium was supposed to be built there, as well as create recreational zones and parks.
Now throughout the territory it is planned to build shopping centers, residential quarters of business class and transport trunks.
“All planned highways pass through a specially protected natural zone (protected) - Moskvoretsky Park, and one of the tracks completely crosses the Schukinsky Peninsula, leaving no chance of maintaining a unique reserve. - The circulation says. - This is a direct violation of environmental legislation. And this project, in violation of the laws, norms and rights of the residents of the North -Western Council, is planned to be implemented before the end of 2015, and the construction of roads and destruction of the park will be carried out at the expense of Muscovites. ”
“The consequences of the implementation of such a project will be catastrophic-one of the most beautiful green islands in Moscow will be almost completely destroyed,” the authors of appeals, representatives of the initiative groups of residents of the districts of Schukino, Strogino, Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo and Khoronevo-Mnevniki.
They ask to cancel the construction of the highways and insist on returning to the previous plans to create a natural-sports park on the territory of the Tushino field.
To date, the appeal has collected more than 2800 signatures.
