Computer Games Developer extorted $ 2 million from Tinkoff Bank

In Moscow, on suspicion of extorting two million dollars, Tinkoff Bank was detained by the developer of computer games Peter Golovin. The man claimed that he took possession of the database to all customers of the bank, and threatened to transfer it to third parties, reports Echo of Moscow .

As RIA Novosti clarifies with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, the suspect was detained on October 30 in one of the Moscow restaurants upon receipt of a bank card with the first part of the required amount - 600 thousand dollars. The suspect partially pleaded guilty. The night before, at the request of the investigator, Khoroshevsky District Court arrested him until November 23.

A criminal case has been instituted under the article "extortion".

Whether Golovin actually got access to the database of the bank, is not reported. There is no detailed information about the personality of the suspect either. It is only known that Golovin was born in 1980.
