Three militants were killed during an operation in Dagestan

On Monday, security forces carried out a counter-terrorism operation in the Laksky district of Dagestan. During the battle, three militants were eliminated, one of whom, according to preliminary data, turned out to be the leader of the so-called “Levashin” gang, Khalid Rabadanov.

“During the reconnaissance, search and ambush activities carried out by the forces of the republican special forces of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia under the leadership of the NAC Operational Headquarters in Dagestan, a group of members of illegal armed groups was discovered in the gorge between the settlements of Kuma and Kundy in the Lak region of the republic,” the information center reported National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC). Three militants who offered armed resistance to law enforcement forces were neutralized. Two machine guns, ammunition and ammunition were found at the battle site. The security forces have no losses. Soon one of the killed militants was identified. “Preliminary identification established that one of the three bandits, Rabadanov Khalid, born in 1977, was the bandit leader of the so-called Levashin criminal group,” the NAC reported.

According to security forces, this bandit group is responsible for numerous attacks on the lives of law enforcement officers, including the murder of four employees of the Laki District Department of Internal Affairs, committed in July of this year, and two police officers near the village of Burshi, Laki District, as well as numerous cases of extortion. Rabadanov himself posted videos with extremist calls on the Internet.
