According to Deadline , on February 6, 2014, the American director will return with his new film on Berlinal eight years after his picture was shown there, “Water Life of Steve Zissou” ( The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou ).
Anderson’s last film, the Kingdom of the Complete Moon , opened the Cannes Film Festival in 2012 and brought the director a nomination for the Oscar for the best original script.
"Grand Budapest Hotel"-British-German co-products. The film takes place in Europe in the 1920s. It was reported that there will be "theft and the return of the priceless picture of the Renaissance, the struggle for a huge inheritance and events that transformed Europe in the first half of the 20th century."
Filming took place in the East German city of Gerlitsa and other parts of Saxony, as well as at the Babelsberg studio in Potsdam.
