
Member of the Public Chamber Vladimir Slepak proposed to check IQ from candidates for leading posts in the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies. According to RIA Novosti, he made such a statement in the State Duma at public hearing dedicated to the anniversary of the current head of the military department Sergey Shoigu. The proposed measure, Slepak explained, will avoid errors when making strategic decisions.
The social activist also announced the need to provide preferential conditions for education for education not only at the end of the service, but also during it. Soldiers could study via the Internet or other means of communication, Slepak said.
Shoigu was appointed Minister of Defense in November 2012. He replaced Anatoly Serdyukov, dismissed against the background of the scandal around the case of Oboronservis. Over the year, who was held, Shoigu supported the initiative to tighten the conditions of the service of students attending classes at military departments, and also increased the number of army priests.
