| Trend | In the traditional forecast Gartner Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2014, special attention is again paid to cloud technologies. Starting next year, analysts are not just predicting rapid growth of this market (see “Trend Locator. Cloud traffic: 5 times more in 5 years” ), but the beginning of the era of personal clouds. This will start with the corporate sector. The object of protection and management of IT services will be access to the personal cloud, shared and stored content, and not to devices, as now. The PC will remain just one of many devices that a corporate user deals with, and no one device will be the main one.
In the future, the personal cloud will be connected to the employee’s identification card - in fact, it will become a place to store all the necessary information about him and the business processes for which he is responsible. |
