© Kasper VogelzangSince November 2013, on the new stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, concerts of new academic music and interdisciplinary projects at the junction of music, theater and media will regularly take place.
Strategic partners of the musical program of the New Scene of the Alexandrinsky Theater will be leading Russian ensembles specializing in the interpretation of the modern academic repertoire - the Petersburg team of the Ensemble of the Arts Foundation and the Moscow ensemble of modern music.
Aleksandrinka’s musical program will open the Alexandrinka’s new scene “Informat” , in which, according to the chief director of the new scene, Marat Gatsalov , “Modern Academic Music enters into dialogue with the media and the theater - a dialogue that will be continued in our future projects.”
Performed by the Moscow ensemble of modern music will be made by the works of Yuri Akbalcan, Dmitry Kurlandsky, Marina Poleukhina, Vladimir Rannev, Peter Abelinger, Avinda Torusland.
“Informat” is a program from music “with a load”, video or performance. This is not a concert in the usual sense, and not a musical theater. Each essay contains an undertaking that expands the boundaries of traditional executive means and listeners about what academic music is, ”says Vladimir Rannev, curator of the Informat program.
