The editor -in -chief of the Khabarovsk newspaper "Young Far East" Alexander Suturin is suspected of violating the law on the prohibition of propaganda of "non -traditional sexual relations," hereports on Facebook. The reason was an interview with Alexander Ermoshkin - teacher and gay activist.

Suturin gives a quote from the minutes of the meeting of the media control department: "The focus on the formation of a distorted idea of ​​social equivalent of non -traditional sexual relations is especially pronounced in the next statement of the hero of the publication:" My very existence is effective evidence of the normality of homosexuality. "Such a statement (according to the Roskomnadzor specialists) contradicts the laws of logic. Offering it to a minor. Readers, the author misleads the normality of homosexuality.

Suturin under part 2 of Article 6.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda of non -traditional sexual relations among minors using the media) as an official faces a fine of 100 to 200 thousand rubles. The newspaper can be fined by a million rubles or administrative suspend its activities for up to 90 days.

On September 4, Ermoshkin was forced to write a letter of resignation of his own free will from school No. 32 of Khabarovsk. On the same day, he did not extend the contract at the Far Eastern State Humanitarian University (DVGSU), where he worked as a senior researcher at the Department of Biology and Geography.

On September 5, Ermoshkin withdrew a statement of dismissal from school. However, it was rejected. On October 3, Ermoshkin challenged the dismissal in court. On October 31, the parties presented their arguments. The next meeting is scheduled for November 13, Yermoshkin reports .

The dismissal of the teacher, who "does not manage to hide the sexual orientation from students," was required by the Department of Education of the Khabarovsk Administration. The first department of the university, which is engaged in the secrecy regime, refused to extend the contract at the DVGU.

The petition website on Change.org published an appeal to the Minister of Education Andrei Bazilevsky, which citizens sign in defense of Ermoshkin.

According to the compilers of the petition, the head of the education department of the Khabarovsk administration Olga Ten began to seek the dismissal of Ermoshkin at the insistence of the local movement "against the propaganda of sexual perversions."

Ten ordered the teacher to write a statement “on my own” under the threat of dismissal of the school principal Natalia Polyudchenko. The director first tried to defend the teacher, withdrawing him from conducting lessons, but this was not enough, and the teacher was dismissed.

Colleagues in the school and department at the university speak positively about Ermoshkin. The school director did not have complaints about the teacher, and the issue of sexual orientation was removed two years ago, when Yermoshkin clarified whether, in the opinion of the director, his position with a homosexual orientation. The director said that she did not see obstacles to his work at school.
