Miyazaki does not leave

Oscar winner, founder of the Ghibli animation studio, Hayao Miyazaki, who announced the departure from the cinema, draws manga about samurai.

According to The Guardian , the producer of the GHIBLI studio Tosio Suzuki spoke about this on the air of Japanese television.

“I think he will draw manga,” Suzuki answered the question of what Miyazaki retirement would do. According to him, the director loves to draw to relieve stress. Suzuki confirmed that the action of manga will occur during the Sengoku period, also called the era of the warring provinces (the last third of the XV century - the beginning of the 17th century).

Suzuki did not disclose the other details of the project, saying that this would have angry Miyazaki.

The fact that Miyazaki is completing the film career was announced in early September at the Venice Film Festival. The last work of the director was the anime-film shown in Venice “The Wind Tachinu” ( Kaze Tachinu ). Later it was included in the long list of applicants for the Oscar Award in the category "Best Animated Feature Film".

Miyadzaki was already “retired” in 1997, releasing the film “Princess Mononya”, but four years later returned and shot “Rented Ghosts”. In 2004, he interrupted an indefinite vacation to finish the “walking castle” after the director’s sudden departure, who began work on the film.

According to the director of the studio Ghibli Isao Takahata, this time Miyazaki’s colleagues did not believe the end that he retired to rest.
