McCartney asks Putin to release the participants of the Greenpeace campaign

In his letter, McCartney assures Putin that contrary to the statements that are made in “some circles”, participants in the Greenpeace campaign are not enemies of Russia, that they did not act in the interests and money of the West, that Greenpeisers never take money from any governments or private corporations.

The musician emphasizes that Greenpeace activists never resort to violence, all their protests are exclusively peaceful.
