Arkhnadzor criticizes the project of the park in Zaryadye

The Archnadzor public movement proposes to adjust the project of the park in Zaryadye, taking into account its role in the system of the urban planning ensemble of the Moscow Center.

Supporting the very idea of ​​the park proposed by Vladimir Putin, and the decision to hold an international competition of landscape and architectural concepts, in published today, November 15, the city defenders express anxiety about the fate of the charge “as the second in antiquity, after the Kremlin, the district of Moscow”.

The project of the New York Bureau Diller Scofidio + Renfro involves the installation of a park divided into several zones corresponding to four Russian landscapes-a forest, a swamp, steppes and a tundra, in each of which an artificial microclimate will be created by regulating temperature, controlling the wind and simulating natural light.

According to the experts of Arkhnadzor, "the winner of the project, like other laureates projects, cannot be implemented without serious adjustment."

“The decision proposed by American designers and approved by the Russian jury does not take into account the factors of the historical development of the charge, its role in the system of the urban planning ensemble of the Moscow Center, visually landscape relations with neighboring historical regions. Such a project can be implemented in any other place, and the quarter at the walls of the Moscow Kremlin requires more thoughtful and responsible approaches, ”the statement said.

When developing the technical specifications for the working design of the Arkhnadzor park, it offers:
