
In the city of Nizhnekamsk and in the Alekseevsky district of Tatarstan, homemade explosive devices were found and neutralized. This was reported to the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting of the anti-terrorist commission on Sunday, the press service of the head of the region reports .
Criminal cases have been instituted on these facts. The investigation is conducted. The Republican Directorate of the Investigative Committee confirmed that the explosive device in Nizhnekamsk was found on the territory of one of the industrial zones of the city on November 16, said RAPSI. The IEV was discovered "during the investigative-operational measures of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee in the Republic of Tatarstan together with other law enforcement agencies." Investigators did not specify the power of the bomb. Any data on an explosive device found in the Alekseevsky district has not yet been reported.
According to the results of the meeting, Minnikhanov instructed law enforcement agencies and executive authorities to strengthen the work to ensure the safety of citizens, as well as especially dangerous facilities and economic enterprises.
On November 20, 2012 , a homemade explosive device worked in Kazan in the courtyard of the house. Alfred Sharafutdinov, who supposedly manufactured the IEV, died. According to the police, the deceased was convicted in 2006 under Article 222 of the Criminal Code (illegal storage of weapons and ammunition), in 2009 - under Articles 111 and 122 (intentional infliction of grievous and medium severity of harm to health).
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic denied the information that Sharafutdinov was a supporter of radical Islam. Earlier, that the deceased was Wahhabis, said Kazan Island Rais Suleimanov. The media also called Sharafutdinov an Islamist, citing a police source.
On September 24, 2012, Kazan, as a result of a special operation , was stormed by the apartment , where there were two suspects in the attempt on the mufti of Tatarstan. During the operation, they were killed. It was reported that both of them made a self -break. The FSB officer also died, two more were injured. When examining the apartment where the criminals were hidden, a pistol and 3 kg of explosive were seized. According to some reports, criminals prepared a terrorist attack on the holiday of Kurban-Bayram.
On July 19, 2012 , an attempt on the mufti of Tatarstan Ildus Fayzov and the murder of the head of the spiritual department of the Muslims of the Republic Valiulla Yakupov were committed in Kazan. Mufti's car was blown up at the intersection of Musin and Chetaev streets in Kazan. He was thrown out of the car with an explosive wave. With injuries of varying severity, mufti was hospitalized. The bomb was fixed under the bottom of the car in the area of the front passenger seat. Yakupov was shot at the entrance of the house where he lived. Yakupov managed to leave the entrance and get into the car, where he died from wounds.
The suspects in this crime recognized by the terrorist attack were put on the wanted list. As noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the republic, all of them are adherents of the radical direction of Islam.
