2012. Boris Strugatsky died

A year ago, on November 19, 2012, the science fiction writer Boris Natanovich Strugatsky died, who, together with his brother Arkady, created such classic works of science fiction as “it is difficult to be a god”, “Monday begins on Saturday”, “Predatory things of the century”, “Snail on the slope,“ The Tale of the Three ”. However, the Strugatsky brothers preferred not to talk about scientific, but about the "realistic" science fiction.

In 1974, Boris Strugatsky was involved in the KGB as a witness in the case of writer Mikhail Haifets, who was charged with Art. 70 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (anti -Soviet agitation and propaganda). Strugatsky recalled: “For some reason, they didn’t give me a confrontation for two or three hours, the investigator and I talked about literature.
