On Tuesday, the court allowed the deposit for several foreigners - citizens of Brazil, New Zealand, Argentina, Italy and Poland.The first foreigner, who will be exempted on bail, was Brazilian Ana Paula. The money will be paid as soon as the Investigative Committee gives the account number, the representative of the organization’s press service told RIA Novosti today. Funds for the payment of collateral were raised through the Greenpeace's main office in Amsterdam.
As the representative of Greenpeace Mikhail Krendlin says, in fact, not 6 million rubles were collected, but much more - money for all activists who are detained on board Arctic Sanraice were prepared on a special account:
- We hope that they will let everyone go. Because we do not see any difference and no reason for their further detention. This follows from the investigation petitions themselves to extend the arrest - investigators could not establish the role of specific crew members, respectively, there are no specific accusations against specific people. And since the role is unclear, it means that they are all the same, and everyone should be released. We believe that they are all equally innocent, accusations for all of them are absolutely absurd, and charges of piracy, and accusations of hooliganism, they did not commit any actions that can be qualified in accordance with the Criminal Code, which provides for responsibility for these actions.
- In connection with the ARCTIC SANRIS case, a lot now began to talk about the so -called "eco -piracy". For example, there is, for example, the “ Sea Shepherd Conservation Society Conservation Society Society Society ” (it, in fact, has broken off from Greenpeace), and its activists call themselves the eco -pirate, because they use the “direct action tactics” to protect the marine fauna. - The question is really in the interpretation. I can definitely say that the basic principle of Greenpeace in any situations, including during such actions, is non -violence. In this we are really different from the Sea Shepherd. With all the nobility of what they do, in this we have a fundamental difference. For any promotions, no damage to people can be caused to us, there is no disobedience, at least active, there is no damage, including the property of organizations in respect of which certain shares are held. This is all very strictly calculated, and this principle has never been violated. And the security of the participants is also ensured. It can be understood that two people who hang on the wall on the rope on board the Prirazlomnaya platform, no damage to the platform or people who are several tens of meters higher, cannot cause. But yes, if the task is to plant Greenpeace activists, then it can be interpreted differently. But healthy people understand the absurdity of this accusation. Now this, thank God, even understood the courts.
On the eve of the next judicial epic of the arrested members of the crew of the Arctic Sanraise ship did not begin very rosy. On Monday afternoon, it became known that the ship radio operator, Australia Citizen Colin Russell, was left in custody until February 24, 2014 . The decision to extend the arrest by journalist Kiron John Brine was postponed until November 20: he asked for time to get acquainted with the case file.
In another court, a crowd of fifty journalists and activists of Greenpeace on Monday crowded in a narrow corridor for about an hour - it was the first court hearing that was so delayed. When the convoy, finally, brought the ship doctor to Catherine ZAPPU, the gathered managed to scream the words of greeting to her, but only a few were able to enter the hall - so he was cramped. Then the journalists still managed to agree with the court secretary, who asked the judge to let them into the hall for several minutes in small portions. The lawyer filed a motion that the arrested was released from the cage, but the judge rejected him.
