The Presidential Administration gave a “technical response” to a letter from relatives of those involved in the “Bolotnaya case” to Putin

“We inform you that, in accordance with Article 10 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, state power is exercised on the basis of division into legislative, executive and judicial.” Thus begins the response of the Presidential Administration to the letter from the relatives of the defendants in the Bolotnaya case, which they wrote to Vladimir Putin.

In a letter written on November 12, the relatives of the defendants and those under investigation in the Bolotnaya case appealed to the president with a request to intervene in the process and help amnesty their relatives. Recall that during the international discussion club "Valdai" in September, Putin admitted the possibility of an amnesty for the defendants in the "May 6 case". However, since then there has been no movement on this issue.

The Presidential Administration in its letter recalled that "the courts exercise judicial power independently, regardless of anyone's will, obeying only the law." And interference in the activities of a judge, remind the Presidential Administration, is punishable by law. Therefore, the relatives of the “marsh prisoners” were advised to appeal to the appropriate courts with appeals.
