Theoretically, it could, of course, although the message about the Kazan plane crash appeared on the tapes of news agencies about ten minutes before the news of the “news of the week” on the air, and Kiselev’s colleagues from the Rossiya 24 rival channel literally turned over the Sunday mesh and began to inform the audience in non-stop mode. Almost immediately, both Moscow 24, and the most recently launched network channel Life News , ahead of the majority of “large” channels both in terms of promptness and exclusivity of information, entered the many -hour watch. They interrupted the planals of the Zvezda and RBC channels, and only Vesti weeks did not change anything in their original scenario.

What prevented Kiselev and his team from at least running line to notify the audience about what happened in Kazan? Maybe the liberals, throwing his white tape to the leader’s neck as a stray, did not give him a word to say? Or the insidious gays held him by ... throat, depriving his voice? Or is he, a dandelion and a dandy, busy with the broadcast of a makeup, fitting a suit and a tie, as well as rehearsing his passages along the studio with spectacular wringing of his hands, looked at the most important news of the evening? The secret of this is great, but most likely the casket simply opened: there was no command from above. There was no indication of how to talk about the next tragedy that happened in Russia. In general, there was not any information from the scene of the tragedy, but professionals from other channels instantly rushed to collect it bit by bit, and only “News of the Week” was waiting for something. And natural professional instincts full -time propagandists, as practice shows, completely lose. Together with natural human feelings and properties.

At the 32nd (!!!) minute of release, the host in a few words notified the audience of the disaster, promising by the end of the program “Report additional clarifications”. After that, he spectacularly turned into another camera and, dropping a mask of grief from his face, cheerfully and even cheerfully reported: “We will round up ... Good evening!”

For the whole evening and part of the night I spent at the TV immediately after the tragedy in Kazan, I did not even remember that there was another federal channel, which, in theory, was more promptly than others to respond to the event. The same channel that once proudly proclaimed: "News-our profession!" It turned out to have done correctly. NTV did not steam at all and roll over on the Sunday air, not giving a single special news of news to Moscow, from where that fatal flight flew to Kazan. So “News of the Week” is not the worst option. Typical.
