At the suggestion of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 2015 can be declared the Year of Literature in Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“I think it is worth thinking about declaring 2015 the Year of Literature in Russia,” the president said.
Putin recalled that 2014 has been declared the Year of Culture, and it will include a number of events related to Russian literature. In particular, one of the initiatives will be the granting of state status to the National Reading Support Program.
