
The State Duma granted the performance of the Prosecutor General’s Office, who asked to send a deputy from the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Konstantin Shirshov, accused of fraud, Lenta.ru reports with reference to the statement of the lower house of the parliament. The request of the department was supported by 294 deputies.
The Prosecutor General's Office approved the indictment in the Shirshov case earlier on Friday. To transfer materials to the court, the prosecutors required the consent of the State Duma.
According to investigators, Shirshov tried to sell a deputy mandate for 7.5 million euros for 7.5 million euros. Law enforcement agencies claim that in July 2011 the communist met at the National Hotel with a businessman and received 66 million rubles of an advance payment from him.
In the case, businessman Vadim Gurzhia, a former assistant to the State Duma deputy of the previous convocation from Fair Russia Vladimir Myasin and the former head of the protocol department of the party Leonid Karagoda, also took place in the case. All of them received real terms from 2.5 to 3 years. Shirshov, who is under the subscription of the wizard, denies his guilt.
