The Non/Fiction fair opens

On Wednesday, November 27, in the central house of the Khuzhozhnik, the 15th International Fair of Intellectual Literature Non/Fiction opens on the Crimean Val.

The area of ​​two floors of the Central House of Artists will be completely occupied by the stands of large and small publishers and book trade companies from 15 countries - England, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, the USA, France, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden and Japan.

The complement to the commercial part of Non/Fiction will be an intellectual program - presentations of new books, round tables, lectures and creative discussions with popular authors. More than 300 events will take place on seven sites of the exposition space and at the stands of the participants - representatives of publishers, writers, philologists, literary critics, publicists and cultural figures will meet with readers and publishers to discuss relevant topics and issues of modern literature.

This year, the Fair program includes meetings with such authors as Dmitry Bykov, Evgeny Yevtushenko, Elena Kostyukovich, Eduard Limonov, Vladimir Sorokin, Lyudmila Ulitskaya.

Honorary Guest of the 15th Non/Fiction Fair- Switzerland . In 2013-2015, in different cities of Russia, a multidisciplinary exchange program in the field of modern culture “Swiss Made in Russia” is being held. One of the main events of this program will be meetings with famous writers and playwrights, a children's exhibition and film screenings , which the Swiss Culture Culture Culture “About Helvetia” organizes at the Non/Fiction Fair. One of the participants in the Swiss program is the writer Mikhail Shishkin .

In 2013, the status of a special guest of the fair was introduced, they became the Netherlands. Non/fiction will present children's, artistic and scientific literature from this country. The Netherlands program has six meetings of authors with readers, as well as the presentation of a special “Dutch” issue of the magazine “Foreign Literature”. The participants in these events will be the novelist German Koch, Slavist Scheng Schemeen, neurobiologist Dick Swaab, historian Gert Mack, journalists Peter Waterdrinker and Olaf Kuns.

Last year, a separate space was allocated for the first time for representatives of children's book publishing, and now the third floor of the Central House of Artists will always be the “children's floor” of the fair. The theme of the Non/Fiction Children's Program this year is “I believe/do not believe: to whom, what and why do we believe and trust?” The program of the playground “Territory of Knowledge” includes meetings with the best Russian and foreign authors and book illustrators, various creative workshops, master classes, games-quests, illustrations.

At the 15th Book Fair of Non/Fiction, the awarding ceremony of laureates of literary prizes and finalists of competitions will be held:

• Award named after Andrei Bely;
• French literary prizes named after Maurice Vaxmamer and Anatoly Leroy-Boleier;
• Prize "The Man of the Book";
• The Prize "Big Book" - a meeting with laureates and a round table;
• Prize of the Institute of Public Design in the field of socio-scientific literature "Public Thought";
• Competition "The Art of the Book. Traditions and search ”;
• Competition "Best Bookstore of the City of Moscow".

Simultaneously with the Non/Fiction fair, the Vinyl records, CDs and accessories Vynil Club , as well as a book antique fair, which is held in a new format, will take place for the ninth time - it became part of Non/Fiction in the form of a new antique book section.

Non/fiction fair will last until December 1.
