The court extended the arrest Daniil Konstantinov

The Chertanovsky court extended until March 4, 2014 the arrest of the nationalist Daniil Konstantinov, accused of murder, Kasparov.ru reports.

The accusation insisted on extending a preventive measure to Konstantinov, since he allegedly threatened the witness to Alexei Sofronov. According to lawyer Valery Shkred, the “threat” to the witness was that Konstantinov promised him that he would “answer by law”. The defense side is sure that this statement is not a threat and, therefore, to extend Konstantinov’s measure of restraint in the form of detention in custody.

The publication notes that security measures near the court building before the meeting in the case of Konstantinov were strengthened. Near the court there was a car carrier with law enforcement officers. The capacity was also strengthened, in connection with which many people could not get to the court session.

Konstantinov is accused of killing 24-year-old Alexei Temnikov. According to investigators, on December 3, 2011 near the metro station "Academician Youngel" Konstantinov, Temnikov hit Temnikov with a knife several times. The prosecution was charged under paragraph 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code. The nationalist faces up to 15 years in the colony. The participation of the jury in a court on such an accusation is impossible.

Hearing on the merits of the case began on August 9. Konstantinov did not plead guilty and accused the affairs of the employees of the Center "E" of the factory . Witnesses of the prosecution were confused in the testimony.

Konstantinov is under arrest from March 22, 2012. Political lawyers emphasize that he has irrefutable Alibi: at the time of the murder incriminated to him, he was in a restaurant at the other end of the city at his mother’s birthday.

The human rights center "Memorial" recognized Konstantinov as political prisoner.
