Laureates "Big Book" are named

The jury of the literary prize "Big Book" announced the winners of 2013. The first award was awarded to Evgeny Vodolazkin for the novel "Lavr".

The second prize is Sergey Belyakov for the book “Gumilev Son of Gumilyov”, the third - Yuri Buyde for the novel “Thief, Spy and killer”, according to the Prize website .

In a reader vote for the finalists of the Big Book, the most votes were the novel by Maya Kucherskaya “Aunt Motya”. The second and third places were taken by the works of Belyakov and Vodolazkin.

The short-list of the award this season also included the “Germans” by Aleskandra Terekhov, “Masha Regina” Vadim Levental, “Description of the city” Dmitry Danilov, “Red Light” by Mamksima Kantor, “Appeal to the Hearing” of Anton Ponyzovsky, “Return to Panjrud Adrey of the Hair and“ Wait, I will die and come ”Anna Matveeva.

In total, more than 300 works created by writers from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the USA, Spain, France, Estonia, Israel, Latvia and Germany were submitted for the prize.

The prize fund of the Big Book Prize is 6.1 million rubles.
