Moscow will respect any decision of Kyiv - says Putin. The EU will not force Yanukovych to sign an association agreement - this is how Barroza and Van Rompey are expressed. From the side to look, in the discussions around the future of Ukraine, some unheard of tolerance triumphs.
The 2013 Maidan is also very different from the Maidan, who acted on the principle of "we are here power" and defended his power. That is, of course, demonstrators require the liberation of Yulia Tymoshenko, Yanukovych is called a "traitor", but we are talking mainly about the European choice. And if the traitor better better, then people will most likely leave the square. Although he is unlikely to change his mind.
Exactly nine years ago, everything was different.
For a short time, Putin visited Ukraine three times with pastoral visits, gently reminding the enormous people of the indestructibility of centuries -old friendship. The Kremlin workers of the cloak and PR, having settled on Khreshchatyk in the Russian house, during the countless press conferences tightly recruited the target audience. So, Pavlovsky urged the Ukrainians to “not resist the inevitable” and vote as Moscow should be, and then loudly complained that the revolution was “not given in the face on time”. The permanently excited Markov scared the listeners almost inevitable, according to him, by the Civil War, provoking this war with all his might. At the Russian guestelekanals, Yushchenko was certified by the "protege of the CIA" and even the "fascist". The workers of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office invited Yulia Tymoshenko to Moscow for interrogation.
The collective West, working in contrast, was not fond of agitprop, but he supported the opposition with all his might. The benefit was someone to support. The elections have just passed, and the presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko, contrary to official estimates, did not look like a loser. Citizens, having heard a Moscow guests and peering at Yanukovych, whom Putin had already naivenly congratulated on a glorious victory, went to the square. And they did not leave from there until they saw the winners on the rostrum: Yushchenko and Tymoshenko.
Today, Ukraine does not choose anyone, and this is the main difference between the Maidan 2013 and the Maidan 2004. Worse than that. The dead Yanukovych has long been elected, it is possible to legally send him to the landfill of history only two years later, and in the opposition camp there is not a single leader who, in terms of electoral support, could be compared with the 2004 Yushchenko. Viktor Andreevich himself, who missed all the data with fate, is already at a landfill. Lady Yu in prison.
Hence the tolerance.
And as long as Viktor Fedorovich is busy with his biographically characteristic matters, that is, he breeds boys into grandmas, trying to more expensive to sell the irresponsible fraternity with Russia or rapprochement with the EU, in Moscow and Brussels, they can even be called conciliatory. Putin in Italy pays out loud Ukrainian debts, $ 30 billion is released, and when the President of the Russian Federation, triumph, calls the figure, he must be shuddered at heart: is Yanukovych that money is worth? And when European leaders, realizing the scale of Kyiv’s requests to Brussels, evaluate the situation, they probably think on a similar topic: do they need Ukraine with this Yanukovych, right now? Isn't it better to wait - until 2015? Maybe work again in contrast, like nine years ago? Well, yes, the opposition is weak, but the "Professor" is doing everything to make it become real power.
For politics is not only symbolic victories, which, of course, are unusually important. This is also money, which in unstable times cost more. And if for Tymoshenko alone Yanukovych demanded a ransom of $ 7 billion from Merkel a couple of years ago, then how will his appetites increase when Ukraine begins to seriously get closer to Europe?
The main problem is that you will have to get closer directly with him, with Viktor Fedorovich, for whom there is a European choice, that the indestructible fraternity is the words empty and even incomprehensible. He is, to put it mildly, not a romantic. He simply, without going to his family and henchmen, has already privatize Ukrainian property for years, and now, on the eve of the summit, bringing the country to the pen, he has been acutely interested in new loans - from the Russian Federation, the EU, and the IMF ...
And then the question suggests itself: or maybe, indeed, to hand it to Vladimir Vladimirovich for a while? Together with his debts, his fears and the second Orange Revolution, which gradually gaining speed, setting tents on European square? Maybe he really leave him alone with Putin, the GOSTELECANALS of the Russian Federation, who are already working out their bread with might and main - and compatriots, whose hatred grows stronger day by day? The benefit is double: you don’t have to pay for integration, knowing exactly that he will take the money, and then he will throw it, nor the tiring senseless negotiations.
It is only necessary to stock up on patience and wait until the Yanukovych era, it is a protracted misunderstanding on Ukrainian land, will not end itself, encouraged by the Maidan. As for the European choice, the country really realizes it as a vital necessity these days. When the choice is stolen, like some hat, sipped by a criminal implee.
