Medvedev ordered to unify the payment system in university hostels

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev will instruct the Ministry of Education of Russia to develop uniform approaches when establishing universities for a hostel. Such a decision was made based on the results of a demonstration reception of citizens, which Medvedev held in the Moscow reception of "United Russia".

According to Interfax , in the course of communicating with the Prime Minister and Party Chairman, the student Daria Khlynova spoke about the problem of paying universities for the hostel. She recalled that, according to the previously, the cost of the hostel could be no more than 5% of the scholarship, which was paid to students, but now educational institutions are set to pay. According to her, "now 600, it was 60."

Khlynova added that most students living in a hostel are visitors, for whom a scholarship is a source of life funds. The average scholarship is 1200 rubles. "There are people who count on this scholarship, who today believe:" I ate, bought a bun, and tomorrow we don’t sing, because there are very poor marital position. "There are really such people," the student said.

The head of the government in this regard recalled his student times, noting that he received an increased scholarship of 52 rubles, at which, "very bad, but could live."

According to him, at the moment there is a very large differentiation in value, which is set as a payment for a hostel, noting that on average the country it is 440 rubles.

The prime minister emphasized that the student community should raise these issues to the rector and to jointly develop solutions. “This topic has become more acute after the law entered into force. It is necessary that students treat this more carefully and determine their representatives, and in relation to the rector to achieve acceptable levels of scholarships and, accordingly, payments for the hostel,” Medvedev said.

The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, suggested that the Ministry of Education develop unified recommendations and mechanisms for establishing prices for a hostel. According to him, prices reach "to six thousand."

The head of government noted that this was unfair. “Well, let's agree so. Maybe they (the Ministry of Education) threatened all the rectors with a finger, said that they needed to follow this with students and together with students, but maybe it's really time to make some recommendations,” Medvedev said.

At the same time, he noted that there will be no price regulation directly, but the rules must be developed by which the same fee was taken for living in the same conditions. “If you have exactly the same bed in exactly the same room, and they take five times more for it, this is unpleasant,” the prime minister stated.
