The Italian motorcycle racer died in a tournament in honor of a crashed colleague

Famous in the past, the Italian motorcycle racket Doriano Rhomboni died on Saturday as a result of an accident in the Sic Supermoto Day charity race, which was held in memory of Marko Simonchelli, who had crashed in 2011.

According to Eurosport , during the race, the 45-year-old Rhomboni could not resist his motorcycle and, after the fall, was shot down by Dzhanluka Vitzziello. The ex-pilot of Motogp by helicopter was taken to a hospital in the city of Latin in the south of Rome, where he died.

Simonchelli, in memory of which competitions in Latin are held, died on October 23, 2011 during the MotoGP stage at the Sepang Auto-Lumpur Autodrome in a clash with American Colin Edwards and compatriot Valentino Rossi.

Rhomboni performed at MotoGP (classes 125CC, 250CC and 500C) from 1989 to 1998. He has six victories in the Grand Prix and more than two dozen catwalks.
