The Kiev journalist, political scientist and civil activist Vitaly Portnikov believes that what is happening on Bankova is a provocation by the authorities. Its goal is to establish a state of emergency in Kyiv and "compromise a peaceful protest on Khreshchatyk." On the Maidan, everything is really calm, but the situation is nervous and tense. Activists of "Freedom" represented by hundreds of students are preparing to protect the building of the House of Trade Unions. The attack of “Titles” and Golden Eagle is also expected on it.

Petro Poroshenko and Vitaly Klitschko appeared on the corner of Bankova and Institute and demand from their supporters not to fight Berkut, since the capture of AP is a provocation.

The Kiev metro announced that today it would work an hour longer than usual - that is, until one in the morning. The Kyiv City State Institution’s Health Department reported that as of 18.00 today, 53 injured protest shares turned to emergency medical doctors.

The opposition plan for tomorrow is to picket the Cabinet and seek government resignation.

Meanwhile, the court forbade to hold shares in the Mezhigorye, where the residence of President Yanukovych is located.
