© Markus KircHgesnerThe XIV International Festival of Modern Music "Moscow Forum" will be held at the Moscow Conservatory from December 16 to 20. His guest will be the German composer Helmut Lahenman.
This year, the festival is dedicated to the new music of Russia and Germany, its topic is “for barbed music”.
The forum program includes nightly concerts from Monday to Friday, as well as a daily discussion and educational program. The works of Helmut Lahenman will sound at all evenings of the festival.
Among the participants of the Moscow Forum ensemble "New Music Studio" (conductor Igor Dronov), Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt, conductor Ilan Volkov) and the Ensemble of Mark of Pekarsky. The latest works of young Russian composers, including the world premieres of plays ordered specifically for the festival, as well as the works of leading German avant -garde players, will be made in their performance.
In the program of the final day of the festival, December 20, there is a joint special project of the Moscow Forum and the Kandinsky Prize “Artinki from the exhibition”. The works of young composers will be executed, dedicated to art objects presented at the exhibition of the Kandinsky Prize nominees.
In addition, creative meetings with Helmut Lahenman will be held at the festival, a seminar on modern Russian and German music (the main reports - Peter Hikel and Fedor Sofronov) was scheduled for December 18, and on December 20, the discussion about the interaction of musical and visual.
