Chosen the best Russian novel

The Russian Bouquer Award for the best novel in Russian was awarded to Andrei Hales for the book “Return to Panjrud”.

According to Lenta.ru , the writer also received the Student Bucher Award, whose laureate was chosen by students of Russian universities-winners of the competition for the best essay about one of the novels included in the Long List of the Russian Boker.

The jury, chaired by the laureate of the last year of the writer Andrei Dmitriev, chose the winner of the six finalists , among whom, in addition to Andrei of the hair, were Yevgeny Vodolazkin ( “Lavr” ), Denis Gutsko (“Beta-Summer”), Andrei Ivanov (“Harbin Motylki”), Margarita Hemlin (“Inquiry”) and Vladimir Shapko (“At the foot of the immense world ").

The jury included prose writer Vladimir Kantor, critic and poet Elena Pogorelya, critic and deputy chief magazine Sergey Belyakov, as well as rock musician Evgeny Margulis.

The prize winner will receive 1.5 million rubles, finalists - 150 thousand rubles each.

The Independent Literary Prize "Russian Bucher" has been awarded since 1992. Olga Slavnikova, Vladimir Makanin and Mikhail Shishkin became its laureates in different years. Andrei Dmitriev in 2012 received the award for the novel “Peasant and Teenage”. In 2011, due to difficulties with the sponsor, the Organizing Committee of the Prize decided to present the “Russian Buker of the Decade” -the award was posthumously awarded Alexander Chudakov for the novel “The halt in the old steps ...”.
