Pussy Riot participant Ekaterina Samutsevich repeatedly appealed to the Lawyer Chamber of the Moscow Region with a request to deprive Violett Volkov the status of a lawyer. This was reported by RAPSI with reference to the activist itself. Samutsevich explained that she considers the decision of the APMO Council to deprive Volkov status "unfair and biased." In her opinion, "the Council went beyond his authority: he had to evaluate the violations that, as the qualification collegium established, made Volkov, but this was not done."
Volkova, for her part, wrote on Twitter that she received a copy of the complaint.
The APMO Council issued the decision to refuse Volkov of the lawyer status on October 23. Colleagues did not see in her actions violations of the law.
Samutin filed a complaint against Volkov and two of his other defenders - Nikolai Polozova and Mark Feigin - in December 2012 . “At the time of the detention, there were no documents with me. On March 15, 2012, I handed over the keys to the apartment and informed her where my passport was located. After my release, I repeatedly applied the written requests to Volkova and Polozov with a request to return the keys and documents to me, but they ignored my requirements,” the statement said.
Samutsevich also claimed that former defenders refused to transfer it to the new team of lawyers on a complaint in the ECHR filed in June. In addition, Samutsevich asked the Law Chamber to evaluate Volkova’s professional behavior in connection with her conversation with Father Samutsevich after the termination of the contract. This meeting was recorded by the participants in the "Term" project, and the video was posted on the Internet. “The feelings that Volkova’s conversation with my father are difficult and painfully described. He is forced to listen to the lawyer’s claims and does not find that she would answer phrases like“ We have not received a penny! ”,“ Protection of others will be impossible, she will drown everyone, ”the Volkov said to rectify the situation with her and I consider this behavior to Volkova and I consider this behavior to the wolf. humiliating, ”Samutsevich said.
On July 10, the disciplinary commission of the Russian Bar Chamber stopped the proceedings on the complaint about Polov and Feigin for the lack of permissible occasion. Earlier, the commission examined the complaint of Samutsevich against Volkov and revealed only a slight violation.
Meanwhile, in the Elektrostalsky City Court of the Moscow Region, the process in the civil lawsuit Samutsevich to Volkova continues. The activist claims that her former lawyer caused her moral damage during the trial of Pussy Riot participants, as well as at the end, when she made insulting statements at her account in the press and social networks. Samutsevich demands to recover 2.5 million rubles of compensation with Volkova, as well as oblige a lawyer to officially refute the statements regarding activists published on the Echo of Moscow website and in personal blogs. The consideration of the claim on the merits began in November; The next court hearing will be held on Thursday.
