The state language of Moldova became Romanian

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova assigned the Romanian status of the state language of the country. This was reported by " News-Moldova " with reference to the chairman of the court Alexander Tanase.

The corresponding decision was made on the basis that the Romanian language was mentioned in the declaration of independence, which, according to Tenas, is an integral part of the Constitution and even prevails in case of some discrepancy between texts.

The court began consideration of this issue at the request of members of the liberal and liberal-reform party.
