Witnesses also drew attention to numerous procedural violations of the legislation by the investigator of the Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod District of the city Sergey Malakhov , who led the case of Staroverov. Thus, the civil activist Evgenia Kaminskaya accused Malakhova of psychological pressure, a sentence of leading questions and distorting her testimony. The defense of Staroverovov petitioned for the demand from the Investigative Committee, the study and introduction to the materials of the case of verification materials No. 733 SK-2012, which undeniably prove the innocence of the activist, as well as the fact of falsification of the case against him. Interrogations of witnesses of defense began on December 5.
