Damage to corruption for 10 months of 2013 amounted to 21 billion rubles

For 10 months of 2013, Russian corruption caused damage to 21 billion rubles to the country, announced at an operational meeting on the International Corruption Day, the head of the Main Directorate of Economic Security and Corruption of Corruption (GUEBIPK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Denis Svgorov. The law enforcement officer added: more than 11 billion rubles were reimbursed by the state.

According to Sugropov, over 10 months of this year, over 38.6 thousand corruption crimes were documented by law enforcement agencies, while almost 90% were identified by police officers, ITAR -TASS reports.

“Over 11 thousand persons were prosecuted, of which about 6.7 thousand - for criminal acts against state power,” reported the head of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

This year, bribery is documented in more than 70 subjects of Russia. At the same time, Sugrobov emphasized: "Analysis of documentation of official crimes shows that greedy officials are actively improving their unlawful activities, trying to minimize the possibility of punishment, in particular, using the services of the chain of intermediaries."

“A vivid evidence of this is the growth of almost doubles of the number of identified facts of mediation in bribery. There are 548 in total,” the law enforcement officer added.

It turned out that the Ministry of Internal Affairs even conduct statistics on the average "earnings" of such intermediaries. “The average amount of illegal remuneration for criminal acts qualified by the article“ Mediaging in bribery ”of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation amounted to 851 thousand rubles,” Svugrobov said.

So, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation last week reported that the amount of damage from corruption is more than 9 billion rubles.
