December 9, Monday

In Arzamas, after the murder of a local resident, anti -migrant pogroms began. 26-year-old student Alexander Slakaev was killed on the night of December 7 in a fight near the Armenian cafe. On suspicion of murder on Sunday, three were detained. On Saturday evening, about 50 people gathered on the main square of the city. They demanded to close all the outlets that visitors hold. The head of the city administration and the police authorities persuaded the audience to disperse.

December 10, Tuesday

The Foreign Ministry of Britain advised Sir Ian McCellan, the star of the Lord of the Rings, where he played the role of a wizard of Gandalf, not to go to Russia due to the "anti-Giyan" law. The actor openly announced his non-traditional sexual orientation back in the 2000s.

December 11, Wednesday

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation initiated supervisory proceedings in relation to the sentence in the Pussy Riot case and sent the case to the Presidium of the Moscow City Court. According to the judges of the Supreme Court, when the verdict in the case, Judge Khamovnichesky Court, Marina Syrov did not prove the motives of the commission of the crime and did not take into account mitigating circumstances.

December 12, Thursday

The Security Service of Ukraine forbade the co-chair of the Party of the RPR-Parnas Boris Nemtsov entry into the country. This was reported to Nemtsov on Thursday evening at the Kiev airport "Borispol", not calling the reasons and terms of the ban. In an interview with Ukrainian television, the politician said that the last time was in Ukraine a month ago. Nemtsov was going to perform on the Euromaidan. He was supposed to read out the “round table on December 12” adopted on Thursday in support of protesting Ukrainians.

The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office against the St. Petersburg Society "Memorial". The court recognized the organization’s activities “the activities of a foreign agent” and ordered it to register in the relevant register. According to the Agora organization, today there are five court decisions against NPOs within the framework of the Law on Foreign Agents.
